Courses, talks & workshops

Mindfields College is the only body mandated to give training in Human Givens methods suitable for professionals and leading to qualifications in the approach. Fascinating seminars and workshops teaching highly practical skills and giving relevant information and the latest scientific ideas and understandings are run at various centres throughout the UK and also in Ireland. These are of interest to those working in medicine and psychiatry, in counselling and therapy, complementary therapy, in education and other areas and are currently undertaken as part of CPD requirements by many professionals. Around 12,000 people in the caring professions attend these sessions every year. To find out more about Mindfields and the schedule of trainings, contact www.mindfields.org

Members of the West Kent Human Givens group do, however, run sessions for the general public and also for some professional groups:-

Free talks on some of the basics of Human Givens counselling approaches and its effectiveness are available for medical practices, dental practices, social work groups, healthcare and psychiatric workers and any other suitable formal and informal groups, mainstream and otherwise. These are both entertaining and informative. Please e-mail us e-mail: selina.lauder@hgwestkent.org or telephone 01732 469005 for further information

Stress Management:
The Human Givens approach gives added dimensions to stress management and teaches highly effective methods. Please visit the stress management management courses section of this website for further information.

Storytelling, metaphor and imagery: One of the practitioners runs training courses for the general public throughout the country. These range from general one-off days introducing the art of storytelling to sessions for specialists in therapy, in healthcare and in education in uses of storytelling and guided imagery. Please visit www.imaginaryjourneys.co.uk or e-mail info@imaginaryjourneys.co.uk or telephone/fax 01732 362356 for further information.
